Nissan's popularity is growing by leaps and bounds and February's numbers prove it. There was a jump of over 30 percent! And, that number doesn't include growth by Nissan's luxury brand Infiniti.
One could argue it's simply an effect of rising consumer confidence. That is certainly part of the success. However, it's also a result of growing awareness of what the Nissan brand delivers: top value, peak performance, unparallel innovation, statement-making style, and economical reliability.
Some of Nissan's top performers in February were cars and small crossovers. Sales of the Rogue crossover, for example, increased a jaw-dropping 86 percent. Sales of the Sentra compact car came in at a close second, jumping 62 percent. And sales for the Nissan Altima midsize car rose nearly 29 percent.
Speaking on Nissan's notable February sales, Al Castignetti, Vice President and General Manager, Nissan division said, "Nissan enjoyed a record February on strong increase by several models, clearly led by the best-ever month for the Rogue. Even though February is a short month, we saw great customer traffic on models across our lineup."1
